Talent Hunt 2022

Students may compete in the following areas:

• Music:  Vocal, Instrumental, Piano Solo (classical, semi-classical, gospel, jazz, R&B)
• Dance:  Interpretive movement to music (ballet, modern dance, tap).
• Drama/Speech: Poetry, readings, orations, monologues. (Script must be provided for the judges prior to performance.)

Basic rules for participation:

• Contestant must be a high school student (grades 9-12) at the time of the competition.
• All presentations should reflect good taste.
• No performance should exceed five minutes.
• Pre-recorded accompaniment may be used for musical presentations.
• Three copies of all musical instrument compositions to be performed must be provided to the Talent Hunt Chair by the date of the competition before contestants are allowed to perform.
• For the participants, recommended dress is formal:
  • Females – long formal gowns or appropriate dress for performance
  • Males – dark suit or black tuxedos/black tie
